Join FreeState Firearms Training for our comprehensive NRA Range Safety Officer (RSO) Course, designed to equip you with the knowledge, skills, and attitude essential for organizing, conducting, and supervising safe shooting activities and range operations. Whether you're looking to work at a range, enhance your firearm safety skills, or take on a leadership role in your shooting community, this course is your first step toward becoming a nationally recognized Range Safety Officer.

Course Overview

The NRA Range Safety Officer Course, conducted by FreeState Firearms Training, is an 8-hour classroom-based program that prepares participants to manage safe shooting environments. Developed in response to the demand for a nationally recognized certification, this course focuses on the critical responsibilities of an RSO, ensuring safety at all times. No firearms or ammunition are allowed in the classroom, making this a non-shooting course suitable for a wide range of participants.
