Our Awareness and De-Escalation class is designed to teach individuals techniques for recognizing potentially volatile situations and defusing them before they escalate. The class covers topics such as active listening, non-verbal communication, conflict resolution, and crisis management. Students will learn how to assess the level of danger in a situation and respond appropriately using verbal and nonverbal cues. The goal of the class is to equip students with practical skills that can be used in a variety of settings, including personal relationships, workplace interactions, and public spaces.

This course will not only fulfill your training requirements for the MD HQL but will also help develop a good foundation for safe firearm handling and usage in a defensive context.

Training is valid for 3 years and must be completed prior to submitting an application for a MD Handgun Qualification License.

**Please note, this will include the required live fire training, UTM/FX Simunition style training rounds will be used at the same location as the course work.

This course is for anyone looking to develop the skills and mindset needed to legally carry a firearm in public. This course exceeds the Maryland Wear and Carry training requirements for applying for the Maryland Permit.

In this course we will explore "The Mindset" and "The Skill Set" needed to prepare the student to legally carry a firearm in public.

We break this course in to 2 days of training. the first day covers the mindset, and the second we build the skill set needed to effectively carry a firearm in public.
